THE PILLOW WARS (CONT’D.)

All the pillows but one have been put away. That’s the bait.

And Kylie can’t seem to resist it.

For the most part she’s never out of my sight. The other morning while I was in the shower I locked her in my bedroom. So she chewed up the corner of the quilt. Now it matches the bedspread she destroyed last week.

The latest pillow assault came later that afternoon while I was on the phone.

I’ve got to hand it to the little puppy. She is definitely determined.

Despite the fact that I’ve gotten all kinds of parenting advice from you folks, my newly adopted daughter just can’t seem to take no, no, no for an answer.

I have an extraordinary dog trainer. But just because you have a good pediatrician doesn’t mean your kid is going to behave.

Training a puppy takes patience. Lots and lots of patience.

And pillows. Lots and lots of pillows.

I'm sure you tried this, but what about something else for her to chew on that will occupy her during these teething sessions? I stuff a Kong with peanut butter and freeze it, and it keeps our dog busy for HOURS.

At least she's cute though, right?

Hi Marshall, I love your new dog, very cute. I lost my dog a few years ago "cuddles" and have settled on enjoying our cat "buffy". She talks (part simese) and runs our house. Janice

I don't know MK...take her in the shower with you? Put Sesame Street on for her? Hey...these worked for me. Oh, that's right ~ my daughter is the human variety. Just don't lose your sense of humor cuz I'm loving this!!

Send her to Pillows Anonymous? Must be an addiction problem.

Wow. I'm kind of impressed by her determination.

We had a dog (a black lab, in fact) that would chew anything. He got into the garage and chewed up a chainsaw. And then he got under my then-husband's bronco and chewed through some wire casing and also through the wires. Bronco no go no more.

But don't worry. It only lasts for a year or so.
