CYBER MONDAY? DON’T THEY MEAN FAT MONDAY?

It’s the day after Thanksgiving weekend, people. There is nothing cyber about all the food I consumed over the 5-day-holiday.

Gluttony aside, it was a weekend worthy of a blog post, and happily for me, my daughter has already written all about it. Why should I do all the heavy lifting? I mean it’s not like I need the exercise.

However, I would like to show you a picture of our Thanksgiving centerpiece.

And how is your post-Thanksgiving Monday? Are you going to max out your credit card? Or just your bathroom scale?

Your grandson makes an adorable centerpiece (better than the turkey-made-out-of-veggies I attempted one year), and I love the books in the background. I ate almost an entire blackberry pie this weekend, and last night placed our big annual order at amazon.com for the kids' Christmas gifts, so I guess I've covered both the credit card and the scale, although I'm sure I'll be adding more to both over the next month.

Might I suggest an arranged marriage between your adorable grandson and my daughter? The ages are perfect. Glad you had a fabulous Thanksgiving!!

Cute picture but get the red eye out before you post pix. You can use Picasa free from Google to edit and process your photos before you post them. It is simple to get the red eye out with Picasa.

I loved reading your daughter's post about being with the family for TG. She should be a writer too. She captures the moments beautifully. What a cute nephew she has. Must be your grandson?

How did I spend my Monday? Working, which after 4 days off, totally sucks. And there's no way I'm getting on a scale anytime in the near future.

Your grandson is adorable! Makes a great centerpiece. And Fat Monday is a much better name for it than Cyber Monday.
