SO, LAST JULY I GOT A PHONE CALL FROM JAMES PATTERSON…
“Marshall, it’s Jim. You want to write a book with me?”
I answered immediately. “Absolutely. How much do I have to pay you?”
Jim laughed — I’ve known him twenty years, and he’s always been a good audience.
Turns out that not only was he asking me to co-author a guaranteed bestseller, he was willing to pay me for the honor.
And it is an honor.

I can’t tell you much about the book — not even the title. All I can say is that it’s a standalone thriller that will be published by Little Brown early in 2011.
